I am in search for a fashion model that comfortable with shooting edgy/sexy high fashion photos for a spread in a magazine. Here is the catch, there is 0 budget. I am trying to work with some makeup/hair and wardrobe to see if they want to just work for credit. The magazine is trying to feature me and interview me, but they want "never before seen" photos, as do all magazines which I do not have anything of real quality, hens the shoot.

My question has to do with just contacting an agency or manager to hire the model.
I saw a thread on here before about a list of agencies, does anyone have that link?
What are the chances of an agency letting me use a model on a trade basis? They get model credit in publication along with some extra photos from me..

Any links to some agencies and some advice would be awesome. I am kind of on a short dead line here.

Well normally this is somehting you can work out with an agency whom you have developed a relationship with.  If you have not been doing anything for them it's unlikely a legit agency would 'loan' you anyone, maybe a new face that is still in development but even then I would not expect it.

Depends on various factors. Probably the first question is going to be print or internet? Then the question is going to be what is the publication? Then the question is what are the shots going to be used for?

That is to say if you answer would be it is for a print magazine that they have heard of and you need the models for an editorial....then getting agency models is actually quite easy.

If it is this a story for an online mag or a print mag they have never heard of about and you need models for photos but the article is about you...then getting agency models is exponentially harder. Not impossible but not easy.

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. It is an online mag and it is something featuring me. This is certainly a tough call. But I think I will give it a try regardless. Hopefully I can find an agency that does have a fresh face. But I wont get my hopes up too high.

Look, to be honest... getting a legit agency to give you a girl for an online mag is a long shoot.   Especially if you mention the words, "sexy" or "edgy".  My advice is to focus your efforts on finding the best girl on MM.

Do the same thing the agencies do. Go to the mall, walk around a college campus, go to a game. There are a lot more beautiful statuesque girls out walking around than there are contracted with agencies or on MM.

Yeah I was just curious. I didnt think an agency would do it. As for models, I am currently attending Long Beach City, and yeah, definitely nothing of model quality there. I transfer next semester, but that doesnt do me any good now. I will figure something out. I am confident.
