Well...maybe just a little...(obviously this will be a rant) To get a single case agreement for a second opinion (since there is only one specialist in network) they contacted the prospective doctor and asked for complete and supporting documentation. Since they have never seen me they can't provide this information and their proposed solution is that I come in and self-pay and just hope and pray that the insurance reimburses me. Eff that. Also, since there is no direct number, if I call I will have to start at square one and hear all of the "no, there is no such thing as a single case agreement, you're boned" over and over again until I finally find someone that knows about it and is willing to help. Dec 28 12 11:35 pm Link There has to be someone in your network who knows how to get around that type of block. Post a casting on MM, email everyone (bcc so it doesn't look like spam) you know, post on facebook, etc. Good Luck! Most of the ones I've seen don't help much because they're too busy with their belief that all the other doctors I've seen are wrong because... they think they know everything. Or something equally as dumb and self-absorbed. Dec 29 12 12:00 pm Link Which type of specialist do you need? Dec 29 12 12:12 pm Link Marc Damon wrote: It just takes time and patience.
