I'm asking this because when I ask models that live in my area (12302) if they would like to do a tfp/tfcd shoot  (content totally their call)  I generally get about 1 response out of 10 inquires... Do any of you out there see any problems with my portfolio as it stand... any input or criticisms would be appreciated...    Thanks...

I think a model forum might work better for this, but I will say there's the old adage that "You get what you pay for".   So things that are (TF) must not be worth much.   I've certainly seen worse photographers get paid for port buildup, but then again, I don't know whom you are asking.  Do they fell they don't need to update their ports?

Honestly, I think the "whatever you want to shoot" is what's hurting you.  Approach a model with a solid concept that is already well thought out so they can honestly tell you whether they are interested in it or not.  Not having a strong concept for a shoot can make you appear unprofessional or that you lack confidence in your own work.  In most cases "whatever you want" photos don't end up being published or exhibited which is something else that might be of interest a model.

Good luck~

+1 on that.  I found I tended to get better responses from people when I could explain the concept.   You could also take a look at lists created by models you're interested in working with and see if there are some mutually attractive ideas to offer.
