Do you find that you watch more, less, or the same amount of videos now that it seems like EVERY provider has commercials before them?

I personally watch less. I get tired if being forced to watch commercials or wait to skip it.

And just to spite them I mute my speakers and avert my eyes until the commercial is over. lol

I loved my old Ultimate TV DVR -- one of the earliest.  It had a true 30 second skip, and I got to bypass commercials entirely.

My current DVR (DirecTV) calls it a 30 second skip, but it's a fast forward, covering the 30 seconds in about 3.  Still love it -- I get to thumb my nose at commercials.

However, the On Demand downloads of broadcast TV shows -- it has fewer commercials, but you can't fast forward through them.  I don't watch programs on these terms.

I don't typically watch live TV.  In fact, when I watch football games, I record them, and I start watching them an hour or so after kickoff.  I then zip past the excessive commercials (I hate commercial breaks before & after kickoffs), official review time wasters, and talking heads spouting cliches.  I get done about the same time as the game ends, saving myself an hour.

So, no -- if a video has a commercial that I can't bypass or fast forward through, I don't bother.
