Hi there-
I've modeled on an off for about 4 years, and have somewhat a variety of images but i am looking for some critiques on my images and profile and even me ! I know my measurements aren't the best right now but i'm working on that. There is nothing worse than having images in your portfolio that you shouldnt, and i would rather just try to get new images and work on my port.

I would get rid of the two catwalk shots 2 & 3. I personaly dont think they add anthing to your look. I also think the last three shots look a little amature like your first test shoots, you are coming across as a little akward so maybe not some shots you should display.

Really LOVING the black and white head shot (with the other two images below) I would like to see you going in that direction.

These are just my opinions to definitely take it with a grain of salt! You are lovely and I wish you all the luck in the world!

I personally wouldn't start with "I'm another model". Instead of saying why you are like everybody else, tell us why you are special.

"While I can't speak about what my particular "style" is" - To me this feels insecure. I would completely delete this.

"my figure tends to work or give more to the sexier side of modeling such as tasteful lingerie like Victoria's secret, although I would like to think of myself as very versatile and able to do commercial or even editorial." - Most of the photographers who look at your port can see this just from looking at your pictures. It seems redundant to me to say it in your bio as well, but it is very good to know your market. Instead I suggest saying that you are strong in these areas and you feel you could rock these types of shoots, if you even feel like this type of information is needed at all.

Instead of saying "different" a better word to use might be "unique". Instead of "weird" try using the word for the genre you mean. If alternative modeling is what you mean, say that. Surrealistic, avant garde, baby eating zombies, whatever. Weird is not a descriptive enough word and no one will know what you are talking about.


I hate to say this, but a lot of your desired concepts are considered photography cliches and it would only hurt you to have them in your port. This includes the following: Anything involving Christmas lights or those rope light things, etc. Anything involving wings and things like petals or feathers or candy on the eyelashes or lips are cliches. They are cute and fun, but they are a dime a dozen and you want unique looks in your port to get you noticed.

If you have more specific or very unique ideas more photographers will be willing to work with you because they will see 1. That you have some creative vision 2. That you care about your career enough to take the time to think about ideas for shoots. If you have a very desirable unique idea a photographer might want to shoot it because he falls in love with the concept. Photographers don't have an endless amount of ideas and new and exciting ideas are fun for them.

"I have a few wigs and hand made costumes, such as Storm from X-Men, L and while not exactly what I want in my portfolio, it's just fun" -  If you don't really want it in your port you shouldn't post it, unless you are interested in the Cosplay genre.

You say to contact you through your email but you haven't provided it in your bio.

You say you are interested in film, theater, and television work. If you have any acting experience you need to list that in your credits. Any performance experience whatsoever can be helpful such as dance training.

I agree that the runway pics don't do anything for you. List it in your credits and leave it at that.

Its good that you have a range of facial expressions and genres. The one of you with your finger in your mouth has got to go. Everybody has that picture.

The one of you leaning against the wall is 100% amateur hour. The pose is amateurish, and the photographer could have done better as well. The one of you in the yellow tights... no. I see what you were trying to do and you get snaps for the bravery to attempt it, but the angle from which it was shot and your facial expression make it look like you are squatting down to have a poo. And the wardrobe and setting doesn't work for this pose period. This would work in a more clean setting with an outfit that had more classic lines. Work on it in the mirror some more and in time you will nail it. White dress and fur wrap picture looks contrived and insecure.

I like the lingerie picture but I personally feel that its better when the bra and panties are the same color or match each other somehow. Some people disagree so its whatever the photographer likes.

You have a very pretty smile and a great look. You obviously can pose you just need to work with some better photographers. Save up some money and pay someone fantastic every once in a while to keep your port current and to get some WHOA pictures. Don't work with the same person a hundred times though. I think it hurts a model to have all her photos from the same photographer.
