Keep shooting work on your lighting. Try a hair light with black backgrounds maybe some color. Warms up shoot out doors. Look for a photographer in your area that you can mentor with.

Nice start, practice makes perfect. Experiment with lighting, and above all don't limit yourself to indoor, studio type work. When the weather lets you, move outside and experiment with natural light and locations, perhaps in a park or rural area.

You can also attend group shoots and watch how others do their thing.

You might want to kick up the contrast.  Try varying poses.  Just about all the shots have models head at the same angle.

Shooting down on a model will tend to shorten them
Vignetting seems a bit heavy; a little goes a long way

Looks like you added the black background, but there are voids around models head
Think you did a great job on composition and filling the frame


Models right arm, if you show me the elbow, then would like to see her hand
Think if model were looking at camera there would be more connection


For me this is your best head and shoulders portrait
Think it might work out better to crop some off the bottom [2 to 3 inches as measured on the model]
Could also Photoshop the stray hair right side of models neck

For 3 months in you are doing a good job
