Hello,

I'm looking to rent in a "shared" or "community" studio space, preferable in North Dallas. I do not mean rent a studio for one day, but maybe several months in a shared setting.

I've started to notice that some spaces are occupied by a group of artists sharing the same studio space but each with their own office and business on the premises. Basically they are pooling together their resources.

I've seen it in practice a few times and it is awesome. The difficulty is finding one with open spaces (I guess they get occupied fast) and I'm trying to find one in North Dallas verses Downtown Dallas.

Nobody knows people or have experience doing this?
(Just a clever way to bump.)

I appreciate the post but I'm looking for somebody in North Dallas, not Garland which is way out of my way for a studio.

P.S. Since you deleted your post, I figured it was a no go anyway. I'll keep the info off the quote...

Hey M,

Where you able to find someone to share a space with?  I'm also looking to share a space.  I wanted to know if you found any photographers that were interested.  I open to any area in the Dallas or Ft worth location.

Thanks,

Noriko

Ironically, since I started this post, and not being able to find a true co-share space that meet my needs... ie: not pay a lot for somebody's leftover space, I decided to open my own co-share business with a starving artist's budget in mind.

Its called Dallas Media Park. We'll be setting up our website next month but we are already open.

We already finished 2 massive sound stages with the larger being 35ft wide, 50ft long, and 16ft to the lighting grid. An additional two MORE sound stages are coming in the next month or so...

Of course, as co-share, we have tons of awesome amenities; several private offices, DEDICATED fiber 100/100 internet, and tons of air conditioning! I love air conditioning. How can my competitors not like AC? smile
