If you have any ideas or would like to work with me, look at my portfolio please! It shall be getting bigger soon! Thanks Beckii Jay Mar 13 13 02:13 pm Link I'm also looking to break from the norm. Checkout Mosh's page here on Model Mayhem https://www.modelmayhem.com/219654. Without a doubt she's one of the best! Doing an image search on Google, Pintrest, or Yahoo will yield ideas. www.zivity.com is another place to source ideas and inspiration. Have fun and best of fortune to you. Welcome to MM. I like your portrait a lot but I have a question. With your great red hair, why so many in black and white? Use that red hair to promote yourself! Good luck ! Mar 13 13 02:32 pm Link These are because they were taken before the red I am at a shoot on Tuesday so more red hair will be on! Mar 13 13 02:35 pm Link Beckii Jay wrote:
Mar 13 13 02:38 pm Link Keep a look out as it's going to be quite an alternative shoot Going to try get my piercings/tattoos in a little more as well! Mar 13 13 02:41 pm Link Hi Beckii. I just took a look at your portfolio, and yes, it is rather limited and mostly B&W. That still would not prevent me from contacting you for a shoot. I do notice you have some major puffiness under your eyes. that is a very simple retouch in Photoshop, and you should find someone to fix that. When I shoot a model FTP, I feel strongly that as I am trading my skills as a photographer for her appearance and talent as a model, I need to give her the very best pictures I can give her. To that end, I spend many hours editing her pics: i shoot enough to discard a third or more, and focus on the best pics of the shoot; then I run those pics through Photoshop. I retouch areas like circles beneath the eyes, blemishes on the face, skin issues, etc; these are all very simple fixes in the latest editions of Photoshop or Lightroom. I also give the model several versions of each print: I play with tome, texture and color and save several with various effects. When you say you want to be an "alternative model," I assume you mean tats, piercings, hair styles. I work with models in that realm a lot. The most important trait you bring to a shoot, beyond tats, piercings, or style (all of which I appreciate) is the ability to model; to know how you look best, and to give energy at each shoot. Just a little experience I can share with you. I look forward to seeing pics from the new shoot. Mar 13 13 06:31 pm Link Thank you for the post, I will keep that in mind Mar 14 13 12:45 am Link New photos! The rest to come later! Mar 19 13 07:38 am Link I really like your look!
