Help my liner always gets smudgy
i have a problem that has been driving me crazy!! I can't seem to figure out the cause. My lower liner always gets smudgy looking. I usually apply upper lid makeup first, then concealer and lightly powder the concealer. Then I go in with my lower lid product. Sometimes I use powder shadow, sometimes pencil, sometimes waterproof gel liner, and no matter what I do it always looks smudgy and messy shortly after. What am I doing wrong??? Help! Mar 19 13 08:00 am Link Are you applying eye primer on the under eye area? Apply some sparingly, then try a waterproof eye pencil and dust some eyeshadow on top to set. Or maybe your under eye cream and/or concealer is too creamy and ends up mixing with your makeup Mar 19 13 10:36 am Link I suppose it could be my concealer (Bobbi brown) but I know other makeup artists who use the same kind and do not have this problem. Maybe I'm using too much but it doesn't feel like I am. I will try out a different concealer. I do apply eye primer under the lash line before concealer. Thanks for the advice! Mar 19 13 12:17 pm Link It doesn't matter if it works for other people; everyone's skin and body chemistry is different. It sounds like you are putting a lot of things on under your eye. You shouldn't need to prime under the eye; it may be the combination of the primer and concealer and your natural face oils creating an environment that's not compatible with eye makeup. Try a different concealer and nothing else under the eye, powder lightly, then use a no-budge formula such as MUFE Aqua Eyes.
