He is soooo cute!!  Squeaking and nuzzling me. Omg. I coulda took him home!

His momma ate his left feet and tail when he was born so they don't know if he's gonna be able to have a normal life. So, they haven't broadcasted that he was born at the zoo.

I have pics but can't post em. I promised I wouldn't.

He's so damn adorable tho. He is 1 month old and his little head is just all downy fuzz!!

Some mommas eat their babies. Sometimes it's just because they are stressed. Other times its because they are new at it and don't know what the screaming squirmy thing is that just came out of em.

Bunnies do the same thing sometimes.

So do human mothers. Not so much with their teeth though.

I always assumed it was because baby otters are delicious.

well, Jai does wildlife rehab and gets all kinds of critters.

wild bunnies dont do well in captivity, theres a bacteria on our hands that if they ingest it (which they can by cleaning themselves) they can go down hill really quickly.

Plus - they fucking bite!

The squirrels are fun tho.  As they get bigger they know when you're there with food and practically launch themselves at you when you open the cage.  Its hilarious but also scares the crap out of you.  lol

This lady just happened to be at Alli's kids care (after school program) picking up her kids at the same time I was.  She was nice enough to let me snuggle him.  I've always wanted to hold a baby otter and he let me get my snuggles and kisses in.  smile
