Common sense should tell you to NOT give anyone money or anything of value to someone you DON'T KNOW!!!

Every single mention of what you guys fell for has red flags all over it!!  Read about scams. Go to the FBI.gov website. There are TONS of them!

If it sounds too good to be true IT IS!!!

OMG yes this dude is such a scam and goes by several different names...I had reported a model here on MM awhile back that sent me a message telling me to call him because he has work for me for some TV show, I didn't though, I knew it was a scam.

EDIT: I had actually researched him because he claims to be related ot Michael Jackson and I am a HUGE MJ fan and I have never heard of him before, so I knew he wasn't a relative and I came across some info about him being a scam. He even scammed nightclubs, telling them he would get them big name artists to come host and he would collect the $25k checks and bounce.

I was contacted by his "assistant" Sarah on ig yesterday a fake clothing company called candy fresh clothing(I'm a Mua) he told me there was a shoot today in mass. Seemed legit ( they have a website and articles about the line) digging a little deeper after he asked me to find him models but wouldn't tell me what time the shoot is..and you're supposed to be professional. And when I asked about my fee he said he'd give me 20k if I could get him 2 models..alarm bells! Google the corporate address for candy fresh its a residential neighborhood don't get sucked in Andre vann is full of sh*t!

UPDATE::
Andrew Vann is now going by a new (fake) company called 'Candy Fresh Clothing'
He has an instagram and a very badly coded site where he tries and sell his shirts for over $100. haha

How he scams models in this one-
He meets up with you and tries to convince you you need a SAG license for modeling!! LOL

He tries to tell you that he can get it for you, just give him 2 or $3,000 dollars and he'll enroll you in the SAG program. I have unfortunately been contacted by at least 3 models so far that have fallen for this...I'm trying to bump this thread just so people can see and keep an eye out for this scam artist.

If you have been affected or scammed by him PLEASE go to https://www.facebook.com/pages/Scammer- … 1014688254

and share your story there. The more information and stories (with some proof) the better chance we will have at putting this scam artist away.

Thanks MM community. <3

I'm SO glad you did some digging. The website he has isn't even professional looking lol I think it has 2 buttons on the site and looks like it was made by a 3 year old.

I am trying to connect his name with the word #scam on his google search so more models can find out more about him by just looking him up. So far it has prevented a lot of potential scams.

Can you go to-

He's a scam artist but I'm still giving him props for using the alias of Gepetto. How in the world do you contact him without laughing?

"Hello Mister Gepetto...love your work with that Pinocchio character..."

This!

I wonder if his nose grows with each scam.

Dang!!   You'd think that this would have all caught up to him by now ... but justice and karma take time.  Keep up the good work Amanda!

Unfortunately he has stuck again. His new alias' are Pluto, Kevin, and he still goes by Andre Vann. I was followed on instagram by @candyfreshfashion. I saw that they were looking for models but since I didn't really like the clothes I decided not to apply. I was actually reached out to by an "assistant" and asked to apply. I figured that since they had reached out to me that I should apply to see what would happen. I was contacted immediately. I asked them when they would be shooting, where, and all the usual questions I would ask. They told me we would be shooting in Foxborough. I asked when I would be sent my ticket to go out there. He said that I would have to pay for my way out there because they have had a lot of girls flake on them. I understood that because models even flake out on New York fashion week. I asked for him name and told him I would get back to him. He told me his name was Andre Vann, unfortunately I spelled it wrong so I looked up Andre Van instead of Andre Vann. I didn't find anything that raised any flags. I then looked up Candy Fresh Clothing. There were a couple of websites that brought something up. I saw a lot of the information was old. But then I thought that since they're relaunching they probably don't want to release any new information. I decided to book the flight and fly out there. Long story short he will take you 30 minutes outside of Boston. To the Renaissance Patriot Hotel. He will continue to discuss business and make you think he is legitimate. He will tell you that you need to be SAG in order to work with him. When I asked him why he hadn't told me that before I got out there he said that he thought I already was. He started looking very fishy to me. So before I gave him any money to push forward SAG for me I had him sign several documents saying what he owed me and what they were for. I thought I was protecting myself. But it turns out that when you contact the police they say that it's a contract dispute. I was lucky enough to get out of the situation and away from this man. He seems friendly and he's really good at conning people. He knows exactly what to say and paperwork to give you.  I wish I would have spelled his name properly because then I never would have wound up in this predicament. But now I feel that it is my job to make sure this never happens to anyone else. He will do nothing but take advantage of you. If he can't he will leave you stranded. He will ask you if you drink. He does this because he wants to know in other ways he can take advantage of you. Do not trust him. Do not believe him. Do your research and if he contacts you. Report him. If you have already been taken advantage of you can do what I did. I filed a complaint with the State Consumer Protection Agency. Their number is 800-952-5225. You can also file with the Federal Trades Commission. Their number is 877-382-4357. Also file a complaint with the BBB. I hope this helps to prevent future victims. If you have an instagram go on it and start flagging him. This way his account will be removed. The account again is @candyfreshfashion.

I didn't give him that much luckily, so if you tell him you don't have that. He will say he'll find sponsors to pay a large bulk of it.

::UPDATE::

Gepetto Jackson has been caught!! The page I created, https://www.facebook.com/pages/Scammer- … 1014688254
has been very helpful in him being caught!
I'm so happy he is behind bars and won't be able to scam anymore models for some time now. I was interviewed today by a news station that will be airing at 5.

Thanks to everyone who wrote what happened if you were affected by him!!
