I just did the same thing!!  Personally I think you have far better images in your portfolio.  The retouching on your avatar could have been a lot better imo.  Your hair doesn't look as healthy.  If you are asking about your overall look and not the photo - then I think you look great!  Diversifying your look always helps!

well the bangs arent a bad idea, as for this photo- crop it so you dont see those ugly roots.  Your hair looks pretty damaged almost straw-like though. A photo this close up those stray hairs need to be brushed away, your eye color looks un-natural as well.

also the lengths of hair going down the chest with out some kind of top on might not have been the best idea, especially since your collar bones are jutting out a lot. From what I see the state of your hair is a weakness

Try some natural light shots which can soften the above points

OK 5 seconds later and after another look at the pic.  The bangs were a bad idea.  It just emphasizes your hair which I believe is not a good idea (over processed, dried out, lifeless, sorry), the other pics in your port before the cut, parted in the middle or swept to the side - opens your face up more, lets us see your eye brows which I think benefits you.

well, still it should be cropped.  I still think the hair looks lifeless and damaged it these shots - it may not be in real life but that's what I see from the pic. Good luck with the new look

IMO I like your face better without bangs. Your face is so gorgeous that the bangs break up your true beauty. Plus, I don't think that photo is a good choice as an avatar. You have several others that I think would work much better
