They're all beautiful, but my first instinct is still "kill it with fire".

Ooooooh, more pictures, yay!   big_smile

I tried to take a picture of this cool-looking, large, flying insect I saw yesterday that was holding a wasp between its legs.  I was inside and tried to take a picture through the glass, but it came out blurry.  When I tried to go outside, it flew off   sad   If it comes back, I'll try to get a good picture and I will definitely share it here (maybe someone will know what it is).

I only get that way if something crawls on me.  I'm even fine with bumblebees landing on my hand, but crawly things on my skin?  Oh, hell no!  I still do find them all fascinating to look at, though.

Our beehive colony decided to swarm one day on the fence.
So cool that I could get so close to them without incident as they were all just chillin.

The shape makes me think of an old-school pencil sharpener.

I do need a really good macro some day, but it can wait until I have a big-girl job   smile

Promaster makes a good enough 100mm f/3.5 macro that can usually be found under $100 - Ive used it quite a lot, and it's pretty nice.

Canon's 50 2.8 Macro @ $250
Tamron 90 f/2.8 $300
Canon 100 f/2.8 $400

Bang for the buck, my vote's on the Tamron 90mm. It's one of my go-to lenses.

I don't really have enough time to take photos that I can justify buying a lens right now.  The one I have does well enough for just having fun until I have more free time and money to spend on things I don't need.  I'll keep this in mind for the future, though.  Thanks!
