With encouragement from some photographers and models both in the US and abroad, I have made plans to host a glamour workshop and shoot in exotic Thailand coming this December for a limited group of photographers with beautiful and experienced Thai models. Centered in the colorful and dynamic city of Bangkok and venturing out to both jungle and beach locations

Here are the bullet points:
-3-shooting day event with a big variety from day to day.
-Instructional workshops each day along with small group and private shooting.
-2:1 or better photographer to model ratio with beautiful and experienced Thai models.
-Limited to 10 photographers total with only 5 spots remaining.

At this point I am thinking of keeping a lot of the structure of the AZ Shootout where I have presented workshops for a number of years. That event has had success with instructional workshop to start the day, breaking up into small rotating groups mid-day, and then photographers and models are able to book private shoots at the location for the rest of the afternoon. There is ample opportunity to both learn and produce sensational images.

My rough plans include one day in Bangkok with both an indoor and outdoor locations, one day of pool and/or beach photography at a location south of Bangkok, one day at a jungle park North of Bangkok. Dates December 9th-11th. This date was planned to miss the rainy season at the location and co-incide with my available time.

Right now I'm looking at the ballpark of $750 which will include 3 shooting days each in different locations at least 2 nights in hotel and transport to various locations for shooting. Workshop fees include instructional workshops and small group shooting each day so that each photographer will have the ability to shoot each model and access to the location to shoot models in private sessions 3-4 hours each day. Model fees for private sessions will be individual to the specific models, but I would have to provide that information privately to seriously interested photographers.

Due to the great travel time from the US, I would encourage anyone participating to book additional days and/or side-trips once you fly into BKK. Viet Nam and Cambodia are actually easy trips to make from BKK. Also Phuket, Samui islands or Chang Mai in the north. Additionally, the workshop models as well as several excellent models in the Bangkok area would be available for additional bookings after the workshop days. I and my producing partner can give recommendations or referrals for models and destinations.

Regarding myself, I am a working professional fashion, glamour and portrait photographer based in the NYC area with magazine, catalog and advertising clients. My work has been seen magazines as diverse as Parents and Penthouse and from Country Decorating to Urban Ink. I have offered fashion workshops in my NYC studio and glamour workshops at the AZ Shootout in Phoenix on several occasions. In 2012 I made two trips to Thailand where I produced numerous images including stock and magazine layouts.

Examples from my past trips to Thailand.

Announcing the first two models who will be working with us at the Exotic Thailand  Workshop. Both are experienced, professional models who I have had the pleasure to shoot with in the past.

Khan is both a model and photographer. In addition to being both lovely and talented, Khan has taken me to two exotic locations for past shoots and has been a great advisor in helping plan this event.

Nikki is a Bangkok based model and former Miss Thailand. She has worked all over the world and I had the good fortune to shoot with her recently in NYC.

I will be announcing more models to fill out the line up in the next two weeks. Only a few spots remain, seriously. This will be a limited size workshop to ensure the quality of experience for everyone.

Couldn't pick a better month to visit Thailand.

I used to live in Asia and have been to Thailand many times starting from 1978.

It's still one of the great travel destinations of the world.

The Land of Smiles.

Yes, I was there last Nov/Dec and it was perfect weather--nice change from NYC. Model Khan and I hatched a plan to host this small event. I'm looking forward to it.

We had a small but very productive workshop. We hit all of the points outlined above.
Day 1 was at a colorful Bangkok hotel where we shot lingerie in the unique rooms.

Then we relocated to a rustic Bangkok building with sensational texture and color for some fashion shots.

Day 2 took on the jungle north of Bangkok based at a comfortable retreat near Khao Yai park for more natural surroundings.

Day 3 we relocated to the pool and beach for sunset in Pattaya.

I think that all of the photographers got quality images for their portfolios from a wide variety of backdrops and a sensational model line-up.

Big thanks to my co-organizer model and photographer Khan. Thanks also to all of the models:
Suphaluck
Mayji
Nikki Irean Mesale
Nacha
Joy
and of course, Khan

In addition to the samples above, I will be putting together a gallery of more results from the experience.
