Yes, it's a scam.

They will send you a cheque. They tell you to deposit it, then send part of the money to someone else. The cheque bounces, and you have lost the money you sent to the other person. Worse, your bank may charge you a fee for depositing the bad cheque.

This one is very common.

Look at http://www.fbi.gov/scams-safety/fraud and find the place where they discuss 419/advance fee scams.

It seems to be a real popular one lately, I heard a couple of models talking about it on FB too.

I got an email like this today. I blocked the sender and reported it as a scam to the Mods.

Snow, there is a common denominator to most of the scam questions. If you go back through MM forums and look at the MM members who ask about, or report possible scams, the vast majority of those members are relatively new to MM or at least have made extremely few posts in the forums. New people are who they prey on.

Apply this logic to any offer: if you have to ask if this is a scam, you already know the answer and are simply looking for verification. Trust your gut.

It's a scam.

You supposed to be paid for your services only. Nothing more.

You don't get a big sum of money and then are told give some of it to some stranger. That's the scam. If payment sounds unnecessarily complex, it's a scam.

There's nothing "possible" about it...

It screams 100% SCAM from the first few words!

Just my $0.02 etc. etc.

I never read these, I always just skim through and look for the ridiculous payment promise to tell if it's fake, that's all I need to know really.
