One day the tops on the trees goes from
lustrous green
to dignified gold
And Autumn starts the slow decline
to darkness
Autumn does so with grace
and flair
and a trace of bittersweet melancholy

When Autumn looks at Winter, it smiles knowingly fondly
When Autumn looks at Spring, it gazes appreciatively admiringly
When Autumn looks at Summer, it sighs familiarly resignedly
When Autumn looks in the Mirror, it wishes for time gone by
