Hi all, I'm curious to hear all of your opinions on your favorite airbrush makeup AND also airbrush makeup for tattoo cover. I'm currently using Temptu for both foundation and tattoo cover and wanted to hear other professionals' opinions and recommendations. Going to IMATS in a few weeks and am looking to revamp my kit. Any feedback on high humidity climates is greatly appreciated (I live in Hawaii).

Thank you and Happy New Year!

Blush Makeup and Hair have you considered TEMPTU's Aqua product line? I use this commercially and believe that it might be ideal for scenarios in which elevated humidity levels play into the mix... it indeed provides a silky smooth veil of matte coverage...

That said, S/B remains my go to for bridal... simply because clientele in my market are rather savvy and request it at the initial trial session... for this reason alone I was an early adopter years ago... it has served me very well thank you...

And yes I've tried other airbrush product however none have exceeded my expectations as much as TEMPTU's product line... As a TEMPTU Pro Artisan I find the product rather cost effective with the aforementioned discount... since I attained this early on there was no fee associated with the aforementioned...  For others considering the TEMPTU PRO Artisan Program it is now a paid-for membership program open to working makeup professionals.  The discount is indeed substantial...

None... I use concealer to mask ink...  If you are attempting to camouflage ink with airbrush spray you may want to rethink this... enough said...

Must be nice to afford time away from clientele... lol  Only in my dreams... All the best on your journey...

And a Happy and most commercially successful New Year ahead to all the wonderfully talented Mayhem Members smile

Can Temptu be used with water based and silicone based makeup? I have Dinair right now and it is water based. If the bride cries, makeup will run so I wanted to try silicone based but I don't think it will work with Dinair gun

Kett is a good brand, and to my surprise, Camera Ready Cosmetics has their own airbrush foundation line that I am currently obsessed with! And it is half the price of other foundations for 1 oz. Check that out!!!

If you are asking if the Temptu gun can be used with water and silicone makeup the answer is yes but I would NOT recommend using the same gun for both formulations. I have separate guns, one for water based and one for everything else, it's just safer and I don't risk problems.

To the OP: I would absolutely agree that s/b airbrush foundation would be good in Hawaii, especially for brides. Kett has s/b and water based and you can apply them with brush or fingers as well. Temptu s/b is great, the gold standard for sure.

Have you gotten one of the smaller, room size portable de-humidifiers for the room where you keep your makeup?

+1 Wisdom... unless you dissemble and clean the gun completely there will be residual product in critical areas (nozzle especially). There are enough issues to deal with here... have learned to appreciate the KISS principle...

Again more wisdom from Dani, brides ask for it specifically, it has a strong reputation here in the US... and the primary reason I became an early adopter of airbrush. In my marketplace competition for bridal is keen, if you're not tenured in airbrush it will likely compromise closing prospective clientele... Learned this the hard way...
