A court subpoena has to be delivered in person by a process server or perhaps by certified mail, so anything by regular mail and especially e-mail is BS.

I know a Nigerian prince that says otherwise.

Hey, I got the same thing.

It was sent to my personal email which gets forwarded to my gmail account. Gmail picked up on it being suspicious and only sent me a notice about it.

Since I have never done anything wrong, I would just assume it was a mistake and delete it.

Another one in this mornings news.
A group is now calling people telling them they are from the "Do Not Call Registry" and asking for your personal information so they can re-register you.
Seems folks are giving it to them.

You don't have to do anything wrong to be served a subpoena, but it's never done by email.

I've gotten about three of those in the last week.

But On good news side there is a rich Canadian CEO who won the lottery and is giving it all away. Lucky folks are selected for him by Google by their email address. I was lucky in that two of my email accounts were chosen for 1.2 million shares. Now my big problem is figuring out how to spend /invest my 2.4 million. So glad it was Canadian rather than a Nigerian or I would have just deleted it and lost out on the money!
