As far as whats the average amount of images normally in a port is around 30 to 35
but dont try for that many if all your images arent super strong , always make sure they are up to magazine quality and 7 amazing images is way better than 30 so so images and keep in mind 1 bad image will bring your whole book down
, but now days thats not going to get you an agent , they are more interested when  you already have existing clients you need help with as a far keeping your calender , and billing
you have to remember agencies are swamped with 20 calls a day from people who think having an agent will be the solution to their financial problems ,  and thats just not so ........
they want people who go out and get their own work , not people who si around waiting for the agent to find them a job

you have to build a little client base first , then you are showing up already with x amount of dollars and thats way more attractive to an potencial agent

Also dont be dissapointed if they dont bite at first , you have to remember it has to be a personality match , when your asking someone to rep you your really asking them if they want to build a team with you , its a partnership and not everyone will be the right fit, takes time so keep trying and try to keep a dialog open with then even if they say no at first ,,,,,,

My first agent took me on with like 6 crappy images in my port and I mean crappy , but he liked my personality ,,,,,,, it was a right fit and I showed up with already a few steady clients which told him I get rehired by the same employers so he took a chance ...... we were together till he passed , I loved him like a best friend , confidant , mentor ....... it took me years and lots of testing other agencies to find the right fit again

hope that helps and best of luck
