I know the rule is no cell pics, this one is even blurry! But I love it. Do I need sense knocked into me? Or is this photo an exception to the rule?? Mar 02 14 09:50 am Link I think it is a fine selfie but if I were you I would use a different photo for your avatar. Mar 02 14 09:52 am Link Fine shot--if you like it, go with it Mar 02 14 09:53 am Link What everyone else said, you look alright in it but you have others that are better for an avatar. Plus it's not bad when it's a tiny thumbnail but blown up, cell phone quality makes my eyes bleed. Mar 02 14 09:55 am Link i can see why you want to use it, but the eyes closed thing feels a bit distracting, one eye looks sort of closed and the other eye looks closed completely its like you were unprepared and blinked or something i like the idea of it though, good job by you https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/32546459 i think ive said it before to you, that should be your avi Mar 02 14 10:06 am Link Well it's your port so do what you want. But for getting the attention of other professionals there are a dozen better images in your port. Mar 02 14 11:54 am Link I think it's a unique photo that looks cool and it draws my attention but as others have said too, is different from the others in your portfolio. So if you just want a cool photo for your avatar, you go it, but if you want the avatar to show your main style, it doesn't do that. Mar 02 14 12:01 pm Link Yes, it looks like a low quality selfie. Mar 02 14 12:14 pm Link MM takes itself a bit too seriously, especially with branding and "how you sell yourself" The avatar should show who you are, as well as what you do. It succeeds, even if you do have much stronger work in your port, it's all about how you want to be seen Mar 02 14 01:22 pm Link Mar 02 14 02:41 pm Link Everybody is so diplomatic, not only would I not have it as an avatar I would not even have it in your portfolio. If you think I'm off base see how many lists and comments you get on it and then you will have your real answer. I think MM should have a report profile feature to bring these "models" to the attention of the administrators. Seriously some of these are profiles that are 5 years old and the "models" are still active on the site. I put "models" in quotes because I am certain these are people that throw a few camera phone pictures up here so they can say that they're models, without having to actually do any modeling. Nov 23 14 07:12 pm Link Nov 23 14 08:36 pm Link BY THE WAY... THIS IS AN OLD THREAD!!! I'M PRETTY SURE SHE HAS CHANGED HER AVATAR QUITE A FEW TIMES SINCE THE THREAD WAS STARTED!!! Nov 23 14 08:38 pm Link Hahaha! Thank you, Doug! I hardly even use this account anymore! Nov 23 14 10:28 pm Link Perhaps you are far too close to this image, and you need to step back and analyze it.
