Ebonay hi.  Like your site.  I would change a few things.  In your about me section.  I would place the first line of your opening statement on your home page in quotes.  The rest of the paragraph and the last two paragraphs seem like one line statements.   They seem more like random thoughts. I would rethink some of that and maybe cut some of it.  The rest of the body of writing flows much better.  I would figure out how to highlight the NYFW and the Lauryn Hill tour.  It gets lost in your information.  If I had skipped that part I would not have known you had done those.  Maybe have a resume page or client page. Also Keratin is a treatment not a straightening.  I say this because I worked for a keratin company and they always reminded us of that!  Hope this helps!  R-

Looks really good! I don't really think you need to change anything else IMO.

You might want to check on mobile devices, cell phones and tablets.  The website is not truly a "responsive" design and does not display very well.  I looked at it on my iPhone & iPad, in both portrait & landscape orientations, and it does not work very well unfortunately.

I would add a calendar page that will show your openings. People will know your availability and be more likely to call.

I like the simplicity of it.  SO many times I see too much clutter. Nice and clean.
Personally, I would make the text a smaller size on the menu to keep it all on one line.
So now i'm curious what everyone might say about my site...can I share?  I've been thinking about making some changes. (like the blog in the home page....it feels cheesy but it really helps with my SEO)

Kim, love the idea of us checking each others sites.  In fact I am having mine redone, again!  May have to share with you all when I finally am ready.  Anyway, I found your site took a long time to load.  However when it did I loved the clean look you have.  Think it's really well done.  R-

Hello, Ebone'

I am also a graphic designer with web design experience, so my feedback will be from a designer's point of view to help you improve the visual presentation of your site.

These are my notes:

There is a lack of consistency from page to page. In web design, once you have decided on your site's look it is important to follow through consistently to each page or it can become a bit disorienting to the visitor:

- The dark part of textured area changes in height from one page to the other. Decide the proper height and follow through from one page to the other. Currently, it comes across as you not caring for the details or not being confident in the direction to take

- Spacing is inconsistent on the top navigation, ex. Home, About Me, Services, etc. are separated by varied spacing. Decide on the spacing and make it same between each

- Home Page:
Too much white space/dead space in the bottom area of both the light textured area and white area.

- Services:
Look at how the dark textured area breaks up your text. You are unintentionally creating varied emphasis between your shampoo styles. For example wash & style, cuts & color are in the dark textured area while relaxers, thermal straightening, etc are in light textured area. If all those should fall under the "shampoo styles" category why is there a visual break within the shared category ?

The text overlaps icons on bottom of page "Feel free to contact me for any inquiries about hair with your extension services !"

-Gallery 1 & Gallery 2:
Too much white space/dead space in the bottom area. Why is it that Gallery 1 has white extending at the bottom, yet Gallery 2 has textured background on bottom ?

-Contact Me:
Try to align/position your "book with me...styleseat" graphic better, so that it does not appear to be an after thought and just floating around on the bottom carelessly. Even if you make the bottom of that graphic aligned to the bottom of the bounding box of your Twitter (Visualize an imaginary line extending from the bottom of your Twitter feed box to the left side of the page and make sure your "book with me...styleseat" graphic does not go past that imaginary line - Hope that makes sense to you ).

- The white space/dead space on bottom of page is not consistent and can vary dramatically from one page to the other. I should not be be able to continue scrolling so far down after your page content. It gives the feeling that something is supposed to be there, but was forgotten, so it is important to remove that extra spacing on the bottom of your page after the end of your content

I did not plan on writing a book as a response to you, but felt it would be more helpful to be a bit more thorough with my feedback to you.

Best of luck.

Steven you are a gentleman of considerable merit... it's tenured talent such as you that make Mayhem so endearing and worthwhile... all points well taken...

That said, Ebonay's commercial portal is the result of Starfield Technologies; Go Daddy Website Builder v7.0.55

Since it has been coded by the aforementioned generator suggested mods may be a challenge...

Again thank you for sharing your wisdom in the visual arts...
Deeply appreciate...
