I personally love them depending on which company the "consultant/ Advisor" is with because it gives me the option about trying out new products before actually buying them. But i was wondering about what everyone ele thought of them. i have seen plenty of threads in which people discuss the mary kay ones they went to but i was wondering if you have tried any others.

From personal experience i have went to a few Motives makeup parties and did enjoy them. But i was wondering of other companies i do love trying new makeup but have when products don't live up to my expectations.

I've been to similar "parties" and all have a specific goal.  for myself, it depends who's hosting , who's attending and most important will it cost anything?

The best ones are ones that are laid back and not pushy then you will feel more welcomed and not pressured to buy anything.

One's I've been to are from selling health products to telephone subscriptions to hardware products.  they range from cheap snacks to exquisite entrees.

I personally stay away from pushy ones and definitely away from ones that charge $$$ or "small fee" to get in.  These reminds me of going to some stores where sales staff chase you around to make the sale.  I RUN!!!

There are ones that setup "training" or "seminar" in hopes to get you in there.
it really depends on your own goal and if you will benefit from these social meetups.
bare in mind that most that setup training or seminar are focused using only their product.

Motive, Mary Kay, and a few others are just a few in the makeup field doing this.
