Hi everyone

Im looking to make my own comp cards and I'm a bit stuck about what photos to include.
Portfolio images or polaroid images?

Thanks in advance!

Laura this is primarily dependent on your market... and your targeted audience... while I can't offer a critique in this forum please keep in mind that a 5' 3" model is not likely going to be successful pursing assignments in haute couture or walking runway...

Learn your market... knowing what demographic to target is paramount here...

btw, a Comp Card is but one piece of your branding...
Please consider working with tenured entities that know your market...

A model's Comp Card is an important marketing tool...
Might be wise to get it right...
You only get a single chance to make an outstanding first impression...

That said, a amazing headshot is a model's most important image... Your clients will identify you with this... Nearly all Comp Cards (professionally done) that I've reviewed have an outstanding headshot as the solo image on one side...
The other side has an array of images, at least one full body (preferably in two piece swimwear) stats and the booker's contact info...

Hope this helps...

All the best on your journey...

You use professional images on a comp card not polaroid's. Comp cards go to clients so they want to see the best of you. Make sure you don't use overly photo shopped images on your comp card though the person should look like you.

My son is a commercial print model and this is what his Comp card looks like the photos were selected by his agent.

The images use on your card will be dependent on if you are a commercial model or a fashion model.

I went onto your profile and you are 5'3 I would go for more lifestyle type of images on your comp-card.

think of a compcard as a brief summary of you as a model smile

when looking at a compcard, the client should be able to:

*see what you look like as a model
$see what you stand for as a model

the balance between the 2 is important. So no, no polaroid images, cause even though they show what you look like, they don't show much of your ability to model. But no crazy over the top poses and make up either.

chose images that also reflect what you do as a model: the compcard of a commercial model will look very different than that of an alternative model or a fashionmodel.

don't forget to add your measurements and contact info smile
