You made choices that are unpopular to some, don't get upset if they don't accept it, they never will. Own your choices, be a model, you don't need validation. I'm a trans woman as well and even though I'm a photographer, I'm also often the subject of my own work. I think creating some visibility and representation is a really wonderful and important thing for our community so I'm very happy to see you putting yourself out there. I personally would just keep an eye out for anyone who would jump straight to asking you to shoot nude, as they/their images may just exploit or fetishize your body/gender, making your trans-identity the true subject of the image, when it should be you.
