I have uploaded and adjusted my model mayhem portfolio and would like to hear what you other members think about it. And if you could tell me what you think my best and worst photo is.

Thanks!!!

Re-think again.
The fruit series is solid and clean, the motion blur stuff is very weak, the face painted shot has been done by many, but this is a great version of an idea that still works and the head shot of the girl in fur is just weak compared to your other beauty shots.

As someone who hired photographers I would pass on such a book as yours because I see no strong focus or point of view and the technical variance is simply too great to know what I'd end up with.

Clearly you have chops, perhaps like so many of us, you cannot edit yourself. Have others pick your best shots and remove yourself from the process until you can put some distance between the emotions of a shoot and the commercial reality of that same shoot.

wow, thank you so much for the honest critique. I definitely see where I should separate myself from the shoot, and let a trained eye pick the best shots. The fruit series are the only photos I have on Model Mayhem that I shot in 2014. You have given me a lot to think about for my upcoming shoots.

Thanks,

JHP

I won't drag things out by adding to what Jean already stated. It is sufficient to get you on track.

I will add something that has to do with displaying images online:

I am not sure if you calibrate your monitor, but keep in mind that most people dont. If you have a calibrated monitor, your images might display darker on other systems.

You have a catch 22 situation with non-calibrated monitors:

There is always a difference between what you see online, and what you expect in your prints.

Of your portfolio offerings this would be at the top
How ever shooting in direct sunlight will generally not produce a quality image
[Background blown out as well as models left shoulder area]

You are trying to showcase the models right?
This for me is not doing it
Good one for removal
