Phillip Ritchie's 3rd annual Birthday Bash!!  Sunday 22 June 6pm till 11pm ?

Are you a photographer, model, make-up artist, or any other talented person in the industry? You're invited!!

This meetup is at no cost to anyone attending.

Meeting people. You go to meet-ups looking to meet people who can help you in your career. More often than not, it ends up unsuccessful.

Maybe this time you find a professional who's work you admire, and maybe you admire my work. I have had my meet-up on my birthday the past two years in a row. Both were a great success, and now I am having the third meet up for my birthday on June 22 at a studio in Costa Mesa. It's not always what you know, but who you know. There will be many professional photographers, makeup artists, hairstylists, wardrobe stylists, and models just as there were the previous two years.

This year I have Robert Alverado attending ( www.modelmayhem.com/15033), an internationally known photographer, especially in the pin-up style photography. Apart from being professional photographers,  Robert and I have become friends because of it. Robert will also be there giving a lecture and possibly a demonstration in his of style of work.

This just may be a great place to start networking as there is no cost. It is a potluck style dinner. Bring food and sodas to share, and join my birthday meeting. It will run from 5 pm till 11pm. Bring your business cards or other means of contact information, and take advantage of the company you will be with!

Meet the people that are doing what you want to do. Sit and chat, share a story, and watch them at work during the evening. Both Robert and I will give advice and help answer any questions you have about the biz. There will be other professional friends of mine there as well. You will know their work, such as body paint artist Natalie Clark (http://bodyartbynat.blogspot.com), makeup artist/hair stylist Elise (who is now a photographer in her own right mentored by me www.hairandmakeupbyelise.com) plus many more members in my monthly photography meet-up group which can be found on meet up.com.

Robert may have a few signed copies of his books for sale, and I will have some of my photography matted at a very special price for those attending this meetup.
You are encouraged to bring a friend, or share this information with a friend, if they're interested in photography, modeling, or styling. Also, if you're a model looking to to be involved in the world of art and pinup, this would be a great opportunity to meet Phillip and Robert!

There is an opportunity where the lighting will be left on and you can take advantage of shooting the models that will be there.

Networking is about being genuine and authentic, building trust and relationships, and seeing how you can help others.
