I have extensions in my hair (natural hair), and they are dry as bone! They look very tangly, frizzy, and they are hard to style. How to remedy this? I use a special shampoo/conditioner for extremely dry hair, and often soak the ends in olive oil, leaving my hair in a loose braid after. Are there other ways to improve them a little?

Thanks! smile

Before answering....are they human hair? Or synthetic? That will have a relatively big impact on my response.

Hair products in China are not regulated.  The safest thing (and affordable option) is to buy new hair extensions.

The fact that the extensions are tangly and frizzy most likely means that what you bought as "human hair" is mixed with synthetic hair (cheaper
Buy better hair is the best solution smile
Moisture schampoo and treatments with leave in conditioner by Macadamia oil has worked wonders for me. If the extension hair is good quality to begin with that is.

You can do a keratin treatment on them.  But you need not use a really hot iron.  When I keratin them I use about 400degrees.  It will vastly improve them.  R-

Is there a typo here, or is 400 degrees "not hot?"

Thanks everyone! I moved to Finland two days ago (ahhhhh, Europe!) so I'll try and find a solution here (after ceremoniously taking out the extensions). They are falling out and are looking worse, so I'll either go with my own hair or look for new ones.

I guess everything is relative!  400 degrees to me isn't hot.  I use 450 most of the time.  I worked for a keratin company and I'm fast with the iron!  You need to work with what is comfortable to you to achieve the final goal your happy with.  R-
