Good question. I'm not a model, but I've noticed some kind folks, from time to time, have posted some excellent links for new models in the past. If they don't come along here shortly, I'd recommend clicking some of the previous newbie posts and follow those links for how best to get yourself out there.

I'd say really getting yourself out there and marketing yourself is the biggest thing. Making sure you do test shoots and TFP shoots for practice. Work hard and keep improving as well as getting yourself out there.
