I poked through the bin at the grocery store and found 2 that were pretty ripe. Yum, probably good that I didn't find 6!!!! I miss tree-ripened stone fruit up here, on the other hand in a couple of months I can walk down the street and pick 5 gallon buckets of vine-ripened blackberries. Those are GOOD too!

I ate 9 pluots for lunch today. 8 of them were awesome, but one wasn't ripe and it made my mouth pucker.

The house I grew up had a couple of pluot trees. As kids, used to eat them til we pooped. Haven't had one in years. have to get some soon.

I understand you can't ship it and have it arrive intact, it's just disappointing compared to local fresh ripe fruit. So, I bought some cherries too and some apples. We grow them kind right here.

For breakfast I am having a Taylor Gold pear from New Zealand. It is a variation of the Bosc (or dusky) pear. Really sweet and amazing!!!

Finishing it up right now. All by myself. If you eat an enormous amount of produce all the time, it doesn't "clear you out." your guts are used to it. If eating a dozen plums gives you the poops, that's probably a good indicator that you're not eating enough fiber overall. Also, I guess it might cause more abdominal distress if you're also in the process of digesting denser foods when you eat a load of fruits. In the summer, I don't really want much to eat except raw produce, because it's hot, and that stuff digests really fast and easily, so it doesn't combine with denser carbs and fats in my belly to make bloating or anything. Supposedly, it depends on what you eat with it, which makes some degree if sense. Plain fruits and veg break down quicker than things like whole meal bread or meats.

I practically never combine fruits with other foods and they never maker bloat... I swear by the monoeater rule with fruit. I eat watermelon with anything else it's like Chernobyl.

Switched to cherries. A splendid little fruit, I bought a 2 pound bag. Will eat more cherries in the morning too.

Got the Rainier cherries this time instead of the dark red ones. Sweet and amazing. Eating a bowl of cherries now. Life is sweet.

I have nothing profound to say other than they're some of the best fruit I've ever had. It's like eating the balls of a unicorn!
