Sending images to a magazine
I was asked to send in copies of a few pictures I took to a magazine, they want to do a spot light on the model and love the images I took of him. Is there a standard size limit you normally use when sending them in? The only requirements I was given was to make them 300DPI, which they are already, so I'm not sure what a good size would be to send them. Is the standard web size I send to my models good enough? Should I send them a larger resolution just in case? As you can probably already tell, I've never been published before... So I'm not up to date with how this whole thing works. I would really like to do it right the first time and run into as little snags as possible. Any advice from fellow published MMers would be greatly appreciated. Jun 29 14 09:29 pm Link Ask them. Jun 29 14 09:34 pm Link They need to be in tonight, and I'm worried we won't get emails exchanged in time. But I am going to attach the web size images and ask if they need to be bigger, hopefully they either clarify the size tonight or can use the size I send. I was just hoping their might be a standard size people send it to magazines. But it's probably case by case. Jun 29 14 09:37 pm Link Most magazines are 8x10 or 8.5x11. Don't send them a higher resolution than what they asked for. Jun 29 14 09:40 pm Link They should tell you the required standard, but if they've neglected to do this, you'll need to ask.
