best ways to even out tan lines on a model?
curious about the best products and techniques to help even out tan lines, as well as making overall skin tone look more even. i’m looking for something that looks and photographs completely natural (i’m definitely not looking for fake plastic bikini babe orange - lol.) btw - i suspect a professionally applied airbrush would be the best, but assuming we don't have that option . . . thanks. Jul 02 14 09:54 am Link the best thing would be if models just didn't have tan lines in the first place. I see them post on Facebook that they got sunburns or are going out tanning and I just want to scream, NOOOOooooo!!!! Best way to hide a tattoo, don't have tattoos to hide (model w/o a tattoo?) Best way to even out tan lines, pick models who don't have tan lines, unless that somehow improves the shot. It is like the "just fix it in photoshop later" BS... the best way to have great makeup in the photo is to have great makeup on the model before the photo is taken... so the best way to even out tan lines is models not having tan lines to fix. PS: As mentioned above, I don't think it will be a situation that you can "patch" up or it will look like primer on a car, I could elaborate but not having "makeup artist" on my account, I will leave the details to others to expound (or confirm what has already been said). Jul 02 14 11:39 am Link This is a quick and easy fix, any makeup artist should be able to deal with this. I use a mixture of MAC Face & Body foundation and an olive oil mist on top to cover tan lines. This foundation has build-able coverage, but is water based and easy on skin that may be irritated from sun exposure. It also reflects light well, but I lightly mist with a very fine spray of oil and blend it in to reflect light further. This light reflection will help lines to blend and be less noticeable.
