This question is aimed at photographers who have knowledge of working with agencies. The bulk of my questions is in another thread (non-critique related) - here : https://www.modelmayhem.com/po.php?thread_id=928229.

I'd like to approach agencies with a view to testing with their models. If anyone has been down this road, could you spend a couple of minutes reviewing my portfolio and suggesting what I can do to improve so that my portfolio would be acceptable.

Cheers,
Brhum

Mostly they want natural fashionable pictures of their models. Prove that you can deliver it and you will (mostly) have no problems getting models from them. There's also a "ranking" in between modelling agencies, and you'll have to work your way up.

I always propose some easy going portfolio shots they can use (always ask for newfaces btw!)

Afterwards you can do your own thing, but first, always provide them somehting they can use.

Don't ask testmodels for naked/topless/implied, they will get their guards up and won't let you in.

At this moment, your portfolio is not at all  suited for contacting modelsoffices imo. you need more of these:

Thanks Steven,

Yes, don't have much of that in my portfolio at all. I'll put out some castings for 'fashion' related themes and see if I can pad that area of my work.

Appreciate you taking the time to review and respond.

Cheers,
Brhum
