The Expendables II seemed pretty pointlessly violent.

That's 90+ minutes of my life I'd like to get back.

Raid 2 is like Hollywoods had it's hands all over it ... crap. Raid 1 brilliant.

Most violent action movie award goes to Riki-oh: Story of Ricky.

Loved The Raid. Haven't seen the sequel.

I don't think hollywood has anything to do with the creation of this film.
It's no The Raid, but it's definitely an incredible movie on its own right.

I've taken pride in seeing every martial arts movie made. The Raid 2 has one of  the best choreographed fight scenes of all time.  It's certainly one of my favourites.

Can't access that clip here in the US. I'm pretty certain I'll like The Raid 2 given the overwhelming positive reviews. It only played briefly in art house theaters here which is a shame. If people could look past the subtitle issue (which is always a half assed excuse imo), a movie like that could really appeal to a much broader audience.

Both the Raid and Raid 2 are amazing movies.  Yes violent but all part of the style and story so not like any of the Hollywood crap being put out.

They're both among my favorite action flicks.
Seriously.
I love them.

I saw The Raid II in theaters twice and I regret nothing.

You will love it. Every action scene is a masterpiece in itself. Beautifully crafted scenes. Oh my gosh it's incredible.

Damn it. I actually swore out loud when you said that.

I'm actually actively angry right now.

Whenever Hollywood tries to remake a very popular foreign film it inevitably ends up looking like the crap spike lee did with Oldboy - watered down
