I've often thought about writing a screenplay in which one of the characters is a person adept at telling the truth but leaking tells that indicate deception.

This is interesting. Among others, one of the fallacies of lie detection is people think that liars don't make eye contact. In most cases, it's actually the reverse. "Good liars" actually will make eye contact even to the point of staring at you while telling lies, to make them seem honest and hence fearless and lots of  people will avoid eye contact when answering questions truthfully. Same with heavy breathing and heart rates.

Come to south Florida and visit any strip club or dive bar and you will get plenty of liars to try and convince you of various things from their former glory and success to some kind of investment opportunity.
