Spoke with the folks at RadioPopper and they say the Nano should work fine with my Sony F60 in manual mode (no TTL). Have any of you tried? Is this finally a wireless trigger that will fire Sony Flashes? They also said with a Sony to regular hot shoe adapter I should be able to trigger my older Minolta/Sony flashes, also only in manual mode, not TTL. That's fine with me since I need to manually set my power levels for some of the stuff I shoot. Any Sony shooters using RadioPopper, specifically the Nano?

I'm curious about your "Is this finally a wireless trigger that will fire Sony Flashes?" question.

I have not used the Nano (nor any RadioPopper trigger) but I have used wireless triggers made by Pocket Wizard, Paul Buff, and Yongnuo to fire a multitude of Sony/Minolta flashes in manual mode (including the F60) without any issue whatsoever.  Of course you must use a hot shoe adapter for flashes with the Minolta/Sony iShoe foot, but they work nevertheless.

a radio slave is a simple on off switch.

All it does is short out two contacts on the  flash.

Like Inner Glow I have used a number of triggers with Minolta and Sony flash for manual operation. With the old Minolta style flashes all it takes is a cheap adapter to standard flash shoe or sync cord.

The newer Sony foot is tricky as it will not fit most standard flash shoes - I had to file a generic adapter to fit, then connect to the trigger. But it worked fine.

I also did wireless TTL with the inexpensive model 20 Sony flash as commander - though limited as the 20 series does not support groups. But most, if not all, higher model Sony flashes can act as commander with groups.

I had become partially content with using the built in wireless system of sony but recently ran into issues of placement of flash and getting it to still receive the signal. For the f60 what brand of adaptor is needed?
