Sanctimonious and demeaning. They used him to show off and pat themselves on the back, then promote their "compassion" on FB. The poor sap served as an unwitting lump and a doormat for their performance.

I would like to christen this song:

"Wir Sind So Genial"

Einen schönen Tag noch smile

If it helps inspire others, what's the big deal?

That is actually not what happened Click!

They did that several times for real homeless people, they started a movement like that to help the destitute.

They never recorded it.

Then, they wanted to make a point and video tape it, but, because they didn't want to demean a real homeless person... they hired an actor (the guy in the video) to re-enact the previous real life experiences.

They felt it would be wrong to use an actual homeless person.

It is explained at length in German... although they received a few hateful messages, the positive responses and activism that resulted out of this encouraged them to continue this way.

Nothing sanctimonious about that, in my opinion.

I thought the whole idea is cool and they are also very considerate.
