I do think that a lot of graveyard shots are clicque, but there are certainly ways to approach it in a different way. Tomb shots can be really gorgeous you could even do something with more victorian looking lingerie for something different.

They are DEAD and in a better place!!! There is no one under your feet who is going to reach up and grab your ankles for shooting in a place with a bunch of headstones!!!! Dust to dust, it's only dirt and some markers. Sheesh people!!! Get real!!

What about the living relatives that show up to grieve or visit or maintain the grave ?  They may not appreciate a model, especially a nude model, sprawled over the loved one's gravestone.

I know in Canada it is illegal to film the *fronts* of headstones and if you ever see a cemetery scene in motion pictures, the tombstones in the shot at least are usually fake or at least obscured.  That's the big issue, I think.  The names on fake headstones are also usually of the art department or competing art directors - it's all in jokes.

I would choose the oldest section of the graveyard where there would be little chance of that, I can pop over to Yuma where there are sections from the 1800's. Not really planning on taking a nude model to a graveyard. As too my idea for Arlington, I would hope that they would understand that I was trying to portray respect and emotion for those who were there.

You would need permission and remember to not disrespect the graves when doing pictures.
