The answers are very similar to those in the other thread.

Try lifting the blacks using a levels adjustment layer.

Or raise the bottom end of a curves adjustment layer.

As mentioned above, Go to Curves and drag bottom left point up -or Levels and drag the bottom left slider to the right. Another option is Selective color, choose black and drag the bottom color "black" to the left.

And a lot of highlight recovery.

screwing with the exposure adjustment layer can also get you that effect if you move the gamma around

Gamma shouldn't move black or white.

In that same layer Offset might do it, but it also might shift the highlights too high

If you increase the offset in the exposure settings you could get that affect. I personally also like to increase the gamma too in-order to restore some contrast.

Gradient map using white to "almost" black.  Select darkness of the grey and opacity of the adjustment layer for how extreme you want the effect.

There are probably a few ways to get this but I'd say under expose by a stop and try opening the shadows in curves....

It would depend Upon if it is shot in RAW or not. You will have a lot more flexibility with highlights, shaddows, contrast and recovery with a RAW file than if you are working off of a JPEG.

If your working with just a JPEG then I would use layer masks to deepen the black and a deprecate on to target highlights. There are a number of tutorials on here and on YouTube.
