After a long absence, I have cleaned up my port and added a few new images. I'm an occasional hobby model, and I'm simply looking to keep my port in order and my images diverse. If you could take a moment to give me some feedback, I would appreciate it. Aug 12 14 11:28 am Link I would use this one for your avatar, you are gorgeous. You have some nice work and some sort of OK snapshotty looking work (your current avatar for one). Work with better teams, you are worthy. Aug 12 14 01:55 pm Link Athlete with glasses? interesting, needs stronger lighting, always use strong lighting on action poses: Very good, possibly best one you have, lens slightly out of focus, over exposed but works: Good expression, just needs to be centered more. Good pose, angle, but not good lighting: These frames have problems: Lower your shoulder, you look stressed: Distorted, lighting not even, either too wacky or not wacky enough: Distorted, boring exposure, but still good: Aug 13 14 04:10 pm Link You've got some stunning work and potential (something I don't honestly say often...what can I say? I'm a critic.) but your avatar doesn't do it justice..at all. I think your avatar is one of your weakest shots, actually. Remember, your avatar is your first impression. It's what a client first sees and you want to make a good impression. Whether it's trade or paid. You're definitely very gorgeous. For an avatar use something more like one of these: I don't think your last 3 shots are as good as your other shots (although, the one with the wind in the hair is pretty cool) Aside from that, work on facial expression a little. Face is what's going to make you pop. It's not something I would say you're weak on but stepping it up a notch wouldn't hurt. What I've recently learned from just practice is having a "relaxed tension" you want to have this intensity and slight tension on your face when capturing the shot to really get an intimacy with the camera while at the same time being relaxed because if you tense up too much, you close up or look scared but if you relax too much, you look bored and lack expression. Hope this helped, you've got some great work! Aug 14 14 05:33 pm Link Very interesting concept and well done. Interesting image, but yes it doesn't really work as an avatar. It is under exposed, but I think that fits the mood. The biggest problem is the focus is on the wall, and you are soft. The eye tends to automatically go to the sharpest part of the photo, which is the wall. Very distracting. Interesting photo. I would like a little more space above your head, but it is a self portrait so a little harder to compose. Very good. OK This one looks over processed to me. The expression would work better in a red riding hood outfit. Lower leading shoulder slightly, and it could be stronger. However I think the tension fits the context of the photo, so it doesn't bother me. I think this is OK compositionally. It is just not as exciting as other photos. There is nothing really wrong with it. It is just kind of ho hum. Fabulous. I like to see some trim space on photos. However it is a fabulous image. Hey, Good Job! I see a lot of potential for you.
