PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK

Why are you Shouting?

They look like your old pictures...selfies, and poorly rendered. Like you had pictures..placed on a computer screen and then shot them with a iphone at best. is this your goal?

You really should consider working with photographers rather than your phone.

Abigail, you are very pretty. But you need to lose the cell phone pics. They don't do you any justice, and therefore don't help your port.

Your profile mentions you go to community college. Surely there is an art department there that offers photography classes? You could probably find at least a few up and coming photographers that would love to collaborate with you on a TF basis. Who knows, those youngin's might have some pretty cool ideas too!

Anyway, let me try to actually be helpful by explaining why your pictures are and aren't working so that, hopefully, you can look at a photographer's work and make a better decision on whether to work with them or not.

Let's start here:

https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36701634

You look good and it's not really a bad picture.  The issue for me is that the photographer didn't take out all the lint or the small beam of green light on the collar of your coat which is a lazy thing to do in my opinion.  I mean, why retouch the skin to look nice if you are going to let the clothes look messy?  Also, the quality of the image doesn't look very high but it's passable.  So not terrible but it needs work.

These images need to go.  Images taken with a cell phone don't belong in your modeling portfolio unless you have absolutely no professional pictures to share, which isn't the case with you.  To be honest, a lot of photographers are picture quality snobs and won't understand or care if you are new to modeling or don't do it often enough to have a collection of good work.  As soon as they see cell phone images they will label you as a silly amateur and dismiss you.  Spare yourself the drama and take them down.

Taking pictures of pictures of yourself makes you look unprofessional.  Now we all understand that sometimes you lose things or don't have digital versions of things, but scanning these would be way better than taking a picture of them.  Just look at them, the quality is bad, they are now out of focus, things look distorted, the colors are way off, some have lights being reflected off the glossy finish, the original cropping is gone now and even the original angles are off because the pictures weren't taken straight.  Keeping these up not only will make you come across as an amateur but also as someone that doesn't understand just how important images of good quality are.

https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/30826387
https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/30826382

The quality of these, the colors and sharpness, and overall look is right on with what you should be aiming for when you work with any photographer.  The issue with these is that they don't make sense.  If these are to promote you as a nurse then you should be in front of a plain wall or background so that the focus in on you, but that isn't the case here.  Instead, you are in front of an extremely busy background that would be better suited for a fashion shoot, wearing anything but nurse scrubs.

https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/30826393

The quality of this is good too but notice your legs and how distorted they are.  Do they bother you or do they not bother you?  Look at where your boot is cut off at the bottom of the frame for absolutely no reason since there was clearly enough space to fit everything in.  Does that bother you or not?  You have to pay attention to details when selecting what to show off that will make you look good.  Your legs look crazy long and your torso looks crazy short and sometimes that works but not in this shot, at least not for me.

https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/32188404

This has the same issues as the first but these are worst.  Aside from the lint, the top one is not in focus which you can tell when just by looking at the eyes.  The right bottom one isn't either.  The left bottom seems to be but I'm not so sure.  The watermark in the middle is insane and takes away the attention from you as a model.  The quality looks crappier than the first image.  Passable, but if i were you I would replace this as soon as you get something better.

https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/32188401

Same issue.  You're not in focus, lint, quality is not that great.

https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/30826371

This picture is way too busy and not even about you at all.  It's like you were an afterthought.  It's more about the patterns than you.  Quality is ok just like the one of you on the chair but again it's not right.

https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/32188397

Pretty like the first but the lint again...  and that crazy watermark again...

https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36651947

This is interesting but the quality is crappy, it's not in focus, it's flat, so it has issues.

https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/30826395

And lastly, this makes no sense.  You in that dress, with the little kid stuff, on that big wheel.  It's not done creatively enough to work and just looks off.

So to sum it up, you are beautiful, you look like you could be a great model, but working with amateurs, taking pictures of yourself with your phone, taking pictures of pictures of yourself, and then posting them up on here will only hurt you and how you look to others.  If you want to be taken seriously, delete the selfies and the pictures you took pictures of, then leave the rest up and replace them as you do more shoots.  And before you work with anyone, look at their work, make sure that they pay attention to detail, make sure the quality of their work is good, and then go for it.  That's all the feedback I have for ya.  Hope it helps.

DOUGLASFOTOS, no offense but I don't need to be reminded.  I was clearly making a joke since Kanye West, when he goes on his rants, likes to use all caps.  Besides, I don't think she did it thinking she was breaking a rule and I highly doubt she was trying to shout at anyone.  And yes, we are all responsible for reading the rules but let's be serious for a second, not everyone on here reads them (they should) and even when they do they still find ways to get around them or forget.  For example, the no drama/hate thing.  I have seen lots of drama and hate started here.  One time someone actually got mad at me for not doing something correctly, and instead of telling me like a normal person, they took it upon themselves to be nasty to me on here.  This person then went to my professional facebook page and left nasty things on there as well because, well, they must nuts and have nothing better to do.  I had to delete their comment and then block them.  So when one sees an error or even a lapse in judgement, it's better to tell the person why rather than to start talking down to people or acting irrational.  Not saying you are doing either of those things by the way, I'm speaking in general terms here.  Like I said, she probably just isn't aware for whatever reason.  Unless she does this all the time, has been told not to, and still does it, but I don't know her history.
