Have you ever witnessed a real fair makeup skill contest? I don't think you have

To be truly fair you would need the following

1) The exact same model on the same day, Exact same lighting and Pose/facial expression. Same hair, same wardrobe.
2) The exact time limit for application
3) Access to the exact same products and tools
4) Seeing the model for the first time on the contest day
5) No photoshop or editing
6) Room, table, work environment are exactly the same.

I've always wanted to see this. It's a true testament to the skill of the artist

We will post Monday the sign up page. Contest takes place September 28th in La Mesa California. 5 to 6 contestants will be chosen. The prize? $1000.00
Shopping spree, everything you like in our store up to $1000.00.

*judging via emailed finished shots, they will not be on site. Judges will not have access to the names of the contestants.

More news will be posted Monday but SAVE THE DATE if you are interested in being a contestant. Makeup Artists, Enthusiasts, Students are all welcome to apply, no charge to apply.

Edited to add: Contestants will be known by number only. The judges will NOT know who did what makeup or even that you were a contestant. They will have access to the name of the winner only. You may claim your own makeup after the contest but that's up to the contestant.
