Hi
hoping I can get some people to critique my port. Just starting out as a model, want to make sure I set up my port right.
Thanks

Personally, your avatar drew me in.  Its not the best but it was enough to make me want a peek!

You stay very true to your look and style youve chosen to be known for, which is great.

I agree, your avatar is cool. I'd say keep shooting as much as you can. This will not only give you more pics for your portfolio (it's best to avoid putting too many pictures from the same shoot in your portfolio) and it will help you get acquainted with the camera.

Good luck!

OP: Welcome to MM. First of all, there is no right or wrong way exactly to set up a port. There is only choosing your strongest work, and putting your best foot forward when you present it.

With that said though, the first thing that stands out to me about your work is the fact that it seems to be shot a lot by the same photographer. I did not read your bio, but I am guessing that you are looking to be more of an alt style model? If so, I would suggest seeking out other photographers to produce a variety of results for your book, and then post up for another critique from there to have us help you pare down your strongest work in your book.

Good luck in your journey!

You really don't need 4 images of the same look/shoot. I know there's a desire to "fill out your portfolio" but it really does the opposite.

I would keep these images...

https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36784410

https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36765754

And lose the rest. The nightclub style photography does nothing for you in a model portfolio.

Just keep getting out there and shooting. Don't be afraid to shoot with somebody who may not have a lot of your style in their portfolio...diversity is key!

I agree with the previous posts, your avatar drew me in, but once there I was let down. There are too many photos from the same shoot, it becomes repetitive. I looked at the first couple and then skimmed the rest.
Also, the night club photos don't do much for me either.

The flipping the bird pic is pretty pointless. It's been done, for decades.

Remove the repeats as has been previously suggested then seek out art photographers. The punk style of late is a lot of miss and filled with mainstream Hot Topic trends. You have the potential to really revive the 1970's punk art scene. Make it happen!

Mate - FFS, delete the second smoking shot with the smoke coming out of your mouth.

If you want to expand your port and get a range of creative shots of you then spend two hours one evening searching through MM for local photographers and have a meaningful conversation with the ones who are interested in helping you.

Don't expect photographers to come to you because they won't.

Good luck.
