First off I'm not stating in anyway I'm a professional or a professional critique giver, these are my opinions and my opinions alone.

FIRST IMPRESSION
-I will visit your page and give you honest, genuine, and hopefully helpful feedback on how to better your MM profile/portfolio.

IN RETURN
-I'd like either the same back, or any type of feedback returned, whether that is a comment, list, friend request, message, etc.

Hi Jason!
Just glancing at your avatar I knew you had talent, but with no profile or portfolio you seemed fake! You website however is amazing. You have a great eye for the female figure and you play with contrast and shadows a lot-especially since b&w seems to be your forte. Great work, I suggest if you use MM as any sort of platform that you make the appearance more professional on here, if that's not your thing then keep on doing what you're doin because it's working. big_smile Thanks for being the first.

Thanks for taking time and checking out my work. i appreciate it. I can assure you i'm real lol. All of the girls on my site came from model mayhem. I just like to exhibit my work in a certain way, so i chose not to put the photos on here. Thanks once again though buddy.

I like your profile statement, and your photos show that you have a great look for modelling, so I expect you will do well.

While this isn't the strongest shot in your portfolio, it will definitely get attention:

This is by far the best shot, and it's a great headshot:

I'd simply love to hear your impressions of a model old enough to be your mother, who has been modelling since before you were born..........

Hi there

Wow first off thanks for the words and critique, much appreciated!

Now to you! I love how confident you are right off the bat.  I wasn't sure how I'd feel about you based on your avatar, it doesn't seem to "jump" out at me as someone I want to click, (BUT when I looked at the photo up close it is beautiful big_smile ) Your profile is a little lengthy and I felt like I didn't want to read it. This day and age especially as I'm sure you know, everyone wants a quick read, in/out, a quick sense of who you are. I did like the goals or shoots you want done, gives photographers a solid foundation as to who they're working with and also what you might like to do.  Portfolio wise I love your garden shed series, natural and beautiful. Your nude interest comes off as very natural and is complimented well by the nature in that series.  I wasn't blown away by your portfolio, mostly because I know you can do better wink You have personality and guts and you now just need the right photographers to give you a chance and produce some great shots for your portfolio.  Keep goin!

Thanks!! Xo

I like your profile, not too wordy but let's us know who you are. Your port is great, so many different looks and expressions. That's something I'm trying to add to my work because most of my port is the same right now, especially in expression. Let me know what you think!

Hey Randy smile

Thanks for the feedback!

As for you!  I Like your "about you" section, nice and simple-can tell you're determined, but this is a modeling website and acting gigs don't come much from modeling.  It does help you focus on your image however which can in turn help your acting career smile I personally would be gung hoe about modeling on your profile so people want to work with you.

Your port is interesting, you have your weakest images all first, so I don't even want to look at your port, but I scrolled down and saw that you have a great handful of professional looking images! Swap those around!!!

Just keep shooting to get some better images, also try Backstage if you haven't already for acting gigs smile best of luck !

I think your biggest set back is working with mediocre photographers
Looking through your portfolio I caught myself mostly critiquing the photographers job
I would love to see you work with one who's more experienced than you  ,pay for a shoot - do what you need to do!  it will push you out of amateur mode!

Hey, John --

My two cents -- take or leave as you please...

Your profile is great -- says a lot of good things about you, but more importantly it communicates that you're not a diva.

In your port, I would say my overall favorite is this one and should be your avatar:

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140825/10/53fb78d36a24a_m.jpg

Great connection with the camera, and your features are shown off very well.

I do think the entire top row could go, as well as these:

Those two above feel more like snapshots than model shots. The one below does the job of showing off your physique as well as any of those above or the top row of your port, with the added bonus of being a more interesting shot (except that your hands are cut off).

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130910/10/522f501a8b919_m.jpg

I would also dump this one:

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120210/04/4f35094d5c6e7_m.jpg

You have better headshots in your port, and the color tone on this one isn't off enough to feel vintage, just off enough to make you look a little unwell.

But overall, great look -- I'd be very happy to shoot with you.

Just going to cut to the chase. Your work is professional as are you- or what I deem a professional smile Your about you section is simple because you don't have to talk, your work does it for you.  Your portfolio is stunning.  Your angles, range of looks, models, lighting, post processing- all flawless.  You have superb photos and I would kill to work with you smile  Thanks for your helpful words and for stopping by. Best of luck to you! xo

Hi! Ok First impression: I was not impressed with your avatar. It does not grab my eye and the lighting looks less than mediocre.  It's a beautiful shot up close, but looking at your great portfolio you have many options which are much better! You have great lighting and color, portrait styles, natural- commercial on some of them smile  Your about section is great, models know what they're getting when they sign up with you, and I love that you're still willing to TF smile Good artist that is.  I too would work with you smile Best of luck!

hello! First off I like your avatar, it's nice! I would be interested in seeing the photo with less fade and more sharp contrast and B&W, but I get what you're going for. Anyway your bio is on the short side, I don't get a sense of who you are other than a graphic artist which is sweet! Your portfolio is a good start, you have some strong images, but you also have some weak not professional looking ones that bring your whole port down some notches.  Start getting yourself out there with some awesome models and building your port.  I'm sure you have plenty of amazing ideas for graphic design and photography. smile Keep going and best of luck hon!

Hello,
I just sent a PM to you. Thank you.

Jen
p.s. if you want to offer a twofer I have an art-nude profile too but, I understand that is not the genre you want to shoot yourself so I understand if the critique is only on the profile I am messaging from

Hi there!

As previously stated I also think you have a great "About Me" short, sweet, and to the point. You come across as a super nice and laid-back person, but professional nonetheless. All good things haha.

I do like how you have diversity in your port, though the profile photo I commented on is the one that I liked the most, as well as what caught my eye right off the bat. I definitely would prefer it for your profile picture simply because it stands out and draws the eye.

Any thoughts on my port would be much appreciated, although I only have photos up from one shoot at the moment so diversity is definitely lacking! Thanks in advance smile

Best,
Moé
