I have been active with this site for over a year and have only had four models actually meet and model for me. I have revised my profile a lot, and changed my portfolio. Please take a look at it and let me know what you think. Constructive criticism requested.

Your profile is way too long and makes you sound sort of "poor me." That in addition to your very specific genre, your admittedly inexperienced status, your inclination to shoot only TFCD, and the fact that you live in what I would call a not-very-target-rich environment (a quick browse on MM indicates that there are only 300 female models within a 50-mile radius of you, as opposed to 3600 in the same radius out of SF), makes me not at all surprised you've had such bad luck finding models who want to shoot with you.

My constructive advice: cut 90% from your profile and say only that you're interested in shooting in this genre, and give some indication of how easy you are to work with. It's good that you offer travel reimbursement, welcome escorts, and say you're willing to pay models -- all of those are points in your favor as far as models are concerned.

You don't need to explain TFCD, and don't talk about your lack of experience; a model will evaluate your portfolio for herself. Don't talk about how some company screwed you over -- a model won't care and will instead probably see you as someone who likes to complain. Don't put updates of what you've been up to or how you've been flaked on. Put it on your blog that you show only to your friends...if you must.

In short, stop giving people reasons not to work with you. Accentuate the positive, man. Good luck!

The profile should be about you and what you want to photograph.

It would be ok to say you worked with another firm, before going on your own. Leave it at that.

What equipment you use is immaterial. Only the results matter.

Concentrate on the projects you seek talent for. The more you can describe them, the more people will know about their participative interest.

Profile is toooooooooooo long.

Delete everything in it except: "Looking for models interested in Erotic Horror for TF."

But just one worthless opinion.   smile
