Remember.......union means membership, or no work. Sep 11 14 08:19 pm Link that is my thing how do i become a member ? and the I.A.T.S.E. Local #798 want 3,500,00. Sep 12 14 06:00 am Link $3500 is half of what you need to join the 706 (West Coast). Mods- can you add these threads to the FAQs? The one thread pertaining to the union isn't really informative: https://www.modelmayhem.com/po.php?thread_id=669495 https://www.modelmayhem.com/po.php?thread_id=247016 https://www.modelmayhem.com/po.php?thread_id=147467 Sep 15 14 07:00 pm Link Sep 16 14 06:36 am Link Get a job with-in your local jurisdiction on a union set under a waiver to join or get a steady non-union job and bring the union IATSE local to organize it. I suggest knowing someone very well - already on a union job, with local status, who can book you as "additional/assistant" in a lesser position thereby allowing you to work under the union contract becoming taft-hartley must-join, but you have to have $3500 on with-in I think 5-10 days. Also make sure your %4 tax/license is in proper order, and go do adtl. hair on a proper set.
