Can you please help me and criticise the retouche i've made in these photos? Hope you can help me get better. Photo A Photo B Photo C Photo D I hope you can help me. Thanks Sep 14 14 06:25 pm Link Hi, Sometime I'm wondering myself if Ill meet in person one of my retouches what will be my reaction? Sep 14 14 09:38 pm Link The first few things that came to mind when I saw this are: 1. I really really like what you did with the colours of the first and last photos. 2. The skin looks somewhat waxy, and I'm not sure how to explain why. 3. In at least 3 of the photos, the edit of the iris made the pupil look like it sinking in - and it looks unnatural and somewhat creepy. and remember, practice makes perfect Sep 15 14 04:43 am Link All your skin work is a bit lazy cos you are not using the right technic and it shows. The skin looks waxy cos there is a loss of information and it makes it look really unnatural. It's a big nono if you want to work seriously. Have you been doing a split frequency and blurred the low layer, or colored on an empty layer between high and low? Or maybe used some kind of filter? Learn how to dodge and burn, this is the right technic to get the most natural results. There is a variety of ways to do this, check it on youtube. Your work will greatly improved if you spend the time practicing this. Also, you need to look out for colour consistency. In the photo where the girl has braided hair, the face is saturated and the body is desaturated and of a different colour. Keep practicing! Sep 15 14 12:32 pm Link |
