Photokina 2014 announcements...
What has caught your eye so far? What has you wanting to go to the Photo store in a month or so to check out? Photokina officially opens tomorrow (sept. 16th) but some gear has been made public today; http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/130939- … ect-to-see Me I am very close to pre-order the Fuji X100T - Something I never do but I love the X100s I've been playing with last few months and the form factor, ergonomics and the major features are the same but with great improvements on existing features and a couple new ones like WiFi, live OVF Parallax adjusting, mini focus area EVF in the OVF window, Electronic shutter to 1/32000sec. (leaf shutter still up to 1/4000) ...among a couple others that slips my mind. Sep 15 14 06:46 pm Link I'm curious about the Elinchrom Litemotiv Sep 16 14 03:27 am Link Type 113 . Sep 16 14 03:13 pm Link Canon 400 4.0 DO IS II Sep 16 14 11:29 pm Link I saw that Cannon tele, Im not a Canon person but that is a beauty. As with any lens, always research image quality from that lens before buying. Sep 17 14 12:39 am Link Sep 17 14 12:45 am Link Daniel wrote: That's a beauty. Cant wait to see how it performs... I always like Voigtlanders [both old German and Japanese versions] Sep 17 14 05:42 pm Link Ricoh announcing that a Pentax FF dslr is in the works and two new lenses for it. As I understand it, this new Ultron's performance will be comparable to the screw mount version, but with updated coatings. I hope they follow it up with a short-tele (the Heliar or Apo-Lanthar) that has similar ergonomics. Along with the VM 50/1.5, it would make for a great, consistent kit. Sep 18 14 10:39 pm Link Brocolor Siros Monolights... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLijalAK7ZA Starting at $999, which I thought was pretty low for Broncolor. I'm guessing the bokeh at f/1.7 will be beautiful. Sep 19 14 01:46 am Link I'm willing to bet there is an identical Lumix model, minus the extra $800 or so for the red dot. Sep 19 14 08:46 pm Link I would have been kicking myself if I had pulled the trigger on an Eli S35 Sep 19 14 09:14 pm Link LX100 Sep 19 14 10:02 pm Link I was wrong, It's a $300 difference for the red dot. Sep 19 14 10:19 pm Link Debating on this (X-T1 silver) or should I hold out for a X-Pro2 model sometime next year Sep 20 14 09:01 am Link Art Silva wrote: Can you please post a link to the identical Lumix model? It has the same sensor, lens, and leaf shutter as the new Leica type 113? Does Lumix have identical Leica X1 and X2 as well? TIA Sep 20 14 11:39 pm Link Sorry wrong model I meant type 109 Sep 21 14 09:29 am Link Product highlights according to one source: http://www.digitalcameraworld.com/2014/ … announced/ Sep 21 14 09:32 am Link Panasonic LX-100/Leica D-lux type 109. http://www.dpreview.com/previews/panaso … -dmc-lx100 http://www.panasonic.com/uk/consumer/ca … lx100.html Sep 21 14 09:40 am Link It kinda caught my eye but the 4/3 sensor is a concern of mine after using the APS-C X-trans for the last year. I feel it would be a step down in IQ and range Sep 21 14 09:48 am Link Prolly more intrested in software over hardware at the present Sep 21 14 07:30 pm Link This looks fun and at $129.99 minus fujiroid packs Sep 22 14 05:35 pm Link Fujiroid sounds painful!!! Sep 22 14 05:49 pm Link Art Silva wrote: Now that's a damn fine looking camera!!! Sep 22 14 05:51 pm Link Raoul Isidro Images wrote: Leica is venturing into lomography???? I could give the 1.2m a nice home... Sep 23 14 06:39 pm Link FUJINON LENS XF56mmF1.2 R APD http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digita … f12_r_apd/ The only drawback to this upgraded lens [other than a $500 difference] is the slower Contrast AF where the present XF56mmF1.2 R (Non-APD filter) is phase detect AF... but that new Apodization filter is wonderful for portraits for the creamy bokeh and sharp as ever focal point that the XF 56mm R is known for.
