Just recently started modeling, so I'd love feedback on my photos and profile. Please keep in mind that I just started so I only have a few images.

More shoots to come so more images to come.

Work on expressing yourself, that's usually the largest hurdle most noobs have an issue with.  Don't just pose your body, your facial expressions have to match as well..

Best of luck.

You have no good images. Test with some good photogs in your immediate area. There are very good photogs in Nashville.

You would NOT be worth hiring, with the images you have now.

Yes you do need some better images, that show a range of poses and emotions.  There are good photographers in your area offer to work TF for them. Don't sit back and wait for offers go and browse for photographers in a 50 mile radius of where you live and then PM them. Some will want money but others would be happy to work TF.

Be realistic in your goals what type of model do you want to be. At 5'4" there is not a lot you can do in fashion. But you can do glamour, swimsuit , so forth and so on.

It takes time to build a port and charging would be out of the question.

The good news is I like your look, and I for one would love to shoot with you. smile I am sure others will too.

Good luck

Thank you guys for the feedback! I have only done two shoots, but am scheduling as many as I can with my full time job. I have two this weekend, so I will have more (and better) photos soon.

Maybe I'll ask for another critique once I get more photos ; )

[[As Written]]

Currently a part-time model, aspiring to be a full time model. I am dreaming big and chasing the dream every day.

What brought me to modeling? After having my son in March 2012, I developed post-partum depression, which eventually turned into clinical depression and anxiety. I was also carrying around an uncomfortable amount of baby weight. I lost 45 pounds and dropped 6 pants sizes, and have come such a long way in my mental health. Modeling has been the most beneficial outlet, because I can put raw, honest emotion into my work, create beautiful photos, and do what I love and have a passion for. I am very easy to work with, and can always promise to bring a cheerful, fun, and compassionate personality... and maybe some vegan cookies.

I strive to live by a few simple things: "Do everything with so much love in your heart that you wouldn't want to do it any other way." "For every human being, there is an opportunity for kindness." "Anything worth doing is worth doing with excellence."

In my spare time, I love to write, interact on social media, meditate, workout, play with and love on my three cats, spend time with my son, try new vegan recipes, and spend time in nature.

I am currently only looking for paid jobs, unless unpaid shoots can build my portfolio and experience. Willing to travel and would love to travel, but I prefer traveling expenses covered.

{For me you have too much personal information not related to modeling}

For me this is your strongest image
Changes I would have suggested were this our shoot, move right elbow toward body a bit, have eyes look where nose is pointed, a different crop showing less background and more model

You lost all that weight but we can not see the result as mid section is lost in material and pose. For me you are too centered in photo and too much background, remember the photos you select for your portfolio should show case you the “Model”

Logos and photos are distractions on shirts; right side of photo could be removed to make you the most important subject in the photo [So the viewer’s eyes just go to you and not the bright area]

Models left arm is just hanging at side, the three windows on photo right could be removed so the distraction from you is removed, as the human eye is drawn to bright things

You have a great look just need to show case yourself more, try to move through your photos and let the photographer snap photos as you change position, rather then posing for each photo in a stagnate pose

Wish you well

1. Keep shooting.

2. Study your favorite models and how they emote and pose.

3. Build a strong portfolio and work with good photographers ( you will probably have to do a good amount of unpaid shoots .  WHich brings me to number 4.

4. If you want paid shoots you are going to have to offer something of value people want to pay for.

This could be anything from amazing beauty and modeling talent, a certain look someone wants to shoot and you fit perfect for it,

to doing nudes ( a common business model on MM that you can make money from without having much skill) or even getting paid by someone just wanting to be around a pretty girl and to shoot some photos of her.
