I'm a completely new guy and open to suggestions. I know I need to get professional photos done and am working on that as well as different clothes for different looks.

Iulia David wrote: can I, please? Sure thing... https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/37020481 Lighting is good, perhaps a bit flat, you should mess with curves in photoshop or levels or something just to make this pop more. The crop is my biggest issue, it's just too drastic and the random finger on the right is odd. The background, while simple, is a little distracting because of how the tree is in half on the image and then not in the other. I mean that usually works out well, but since it's a close up, and it's taking up so much of the frame, it's not working as well for me. Maybe if this was shot horizontally I would feel different about it or if she was leaving on the tree. The black bra doesn't bug me but that stray piece of material coming out of the bra does. It sort of looks like the price tag plastic or something. Photoshopping that would have made this look more polished. That one hair strand between her eyebrows should be taken out too because it's just distracting. I'm also not a fan of the hair behind her being rounded and bent like that. You might as well pushed all of her hair to the front. Great model though. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/37020477 This works better for me because the tree ends between her and the scenery behind the tree. It doesn't keep going like in the image above so it's less of a distraction. I would have perhaps moved a little back more only because the shirt, how it's folded, makes it seem like she's missing an arm so showing a tiny bit more of her arm would have been great. However, it's a nice image. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36646449 Nice image. A tiny bit flat but pretty damn nice. My issue here is that her skin is too shiny so you should have fixed that in person or photoshop and also the little hairs on her back should've been taken out. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36646027 I always advice against having repeated images in your portfolio, if you want to though, just put them together as one. This image is ok but not really all that exciting and she's not really connecting enough with the camera. Also, that little bit of white by the bra part of the dress, on her left, sorta bugs me, it should be taken out and so should the little dot in the middle of the bra area. Yes, I'm this picky lol. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36587549 Pretty picture and the lighting is fine, a bit flat though, but there's no drama or wow factor. If you had lit this differently, perhaps more shadows, more range, more something, it would have worked better. Right now it's just a pretty portrait. Also, the bra digging into her skin like that bugs me. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36440782 The lighting and colors in this are nice. However, The crop is a bit off for me. She's wearing a white dress so when you cut off her bottom, her legs look like they are melting into one which is not flattering for her. Had you taken a few steps to the left, to get more of her legs in there and less of the railing, and then pointed down a little this would have looked better. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36440776 That dress isn't the best on her. It's a little too loose in the middle. Maybe a belt would have helped. Also, I don't think that hat goes with that dress and with the makeup that she has on. It's like evening makeup with a an on the prairie dress and a beach hat set on the prairie. So the dress goes but the rest doesn't for me. And again, the image is flat. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36421124 Nice colors, hair looks good, lighting is ok, great smile. Image is a little flat so I would again suggest to use curves or whatever you want to give this more range. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36421122 Nice colors, hair looks good, lighting looks better. Her face isn't as captivating in this one as in the smile one but it's still a good face. Not a fan of her hand as it looks a little unrelaxed. I would also use a little liquify on her back just to tidy up the little folds caused by the dress being a little tight. Oh, and the repeat thing I stated before... https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36344327 The quality of this isn't as good as in your other images. The blue/cyan tone seems unnecessary to me here because it's not really adding anything. I'm not a fan of that top mixed with the dark shit under it, specially in that nature setting. It just doesn't go together for me. I'm also not 100%sold on the pose. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36306278 Beautiful https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36306276 Beautiful but from the same shoot as above https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36306259 I don't like the angle for this model. It widens her face which isn't flattering to her. Maybe if she had stuck out her chin a little it wold have worked. I also think the image is flat, the fingers are a little bunched up together, and her buttcheek showing doesn't make sense with how classy this image comes across. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36306254 The quality of this is lower than most of your other work. Not sure if you used a different camera or ISO or what. The model is pretty interesting looks-wise. I'm not sure I like the wood going right to her head like that though. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36306248 It's a nice image -------------------- So overall, the lighting seems to be there but it looks like you don't do enough to your images to make them pop after you take them. I would also watch for crops, outfits going with backgrounds, and making sure the models are as comfortable and naturally posed as possible.

Eric SUN wrote: Yes, please. I know I posted too many. Hi there, Alright so here are the things that stand out to me: https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36958000 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36982862 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36706768 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36368570 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/37035233 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/37035228 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/37027058 There are a lot of bad, cheap, or not properly put together outfits going on. Some of them make the women look like they are wearing clothes for 5 year olds, others just look like bad costumes, some don't even go with the background. I would keep an eye out for that. There's also a lot of the same models as you have already stated. It makes you come across like you haven't done many shoots because you feel the need to post a lot from the same thing. If you want to share more than one image of something just put them together into one. That's what I recommend anyway. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/37005921 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/37005920 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/37027062 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/37035237 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/37035228 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/37027063 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/35727006 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36457196 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36926205 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36845416 Some of the poses are just off and to me don't work. If you want to do fashion poses look through more magazines and use some of the poses in there but adjust them a little to make them your own. Keep in mind that since some of these poses are shot from certain angles, if you change the angle it might not look as good. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36722323 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36521049 Uncomfortable faces are just not very good, they kill images https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/35690500 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/35727006 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/33400599 (the photoshop in this is, I'm sorry, but it's ridiculous) https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36926232 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/35689359 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36935069 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/35562366 (this whole series) https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/34968655 (this whole series) https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36594202 (every single version of this) https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/36373971 I get that you like the idea of women with weapons but this is a bit much. If you want a woman with a weapon series then cool, but do it well and don't repeat weapons or images or models. Some of these are cheesy and not very good. I think you know that. Overall I just don't think you are picking the best models you can or you're not instructing them to the best of your ability. As already stated some of the outfits are bad and don't go wit the locations at all. The lighting seems to be good and you do have some great images but those great images are being bogged down by the bad ones that you tend to repeat a lot. I would work on editing things down, only showing your best work, and lastly, I also noticed that sometimes you blur the backgrounds at appropriate times and then sometimes you don't. Sometimes you leave everything in focus which only highlights what the images lack. I hope this helps.

...I'm more than a little nervous, but your previous reviews seem very knowledge based (unlike a lot of critiques) I'd like to hear your opinion and hopefully learn from it.
