what are the differences between Frequency Separation by apply image and classic?

I thought apply iimage was classic? I assume you talking about High pass, because there is at least 5 methods of FS. High pass just doesn't work with subtraction more than 128 tonal levels. Try to use it on complete black and white image (255, 0) and you will see the difference. If your image +128, -128 there is no difference.

Ohhh great! yes for me classic is with high pass.

Can I see how many tonal have my pics? Are there a way in photoshop to check it?

Mistake will appear in high contrast areas. We are talking contrast more then 128. Such as

For example try this image with the radius of 50.

smile It is black, with white stripe. We are talking about contrast, right? I can put stripes artisticaly if you want, but it wouldn't change a thing.
